If you are past your first trimester of pregnancy laying face down on a massage table may increase the pressure on the uterus as well as the uterine ligaments. For you comfort we will have you lying on your side lying with your head, legs, and stomach supported with cushions and pillows. Our therapist can then work safely on your back without creating any more pressure or discomfort.
For a portion of the session the client may be assisted into a semi-reclining position with her legs elevated. This position allows the therapist to treat the rest of the body (shoulders, arms, hands, legs, feet, scalp, face), and it allows the client to experience great comfort and deep relaxation-in the safest way possible.
